  • How long do I have access to this course?

  • Does baby sign language delay speech?

    No. There has been zero research to support the myth that baby signing will delay speech. Research has found only benefits to using baby sign language, and some research has even found that babies who learned baby sign language began to speak earlier than their peers and had a more advanced vocabulary.

  • What age group is this course intended for?

    Sign Language is beneficial for children at every age! This course is for all families, no matter how old your little one is, and regardless of whether or not they're speaking yet.

  • What's the difference between this mini-course and your other courses?

    The Great Outdoors mini-course is themed for everything that's outdoors. Other Sign 'n Grow courses have different themes or focuses.

    This course is not intended for families who are first starting out with signing. If you're getting started, please see the Baby Signs for Growing Minds Ultimate course and mini-course. You aren't required to complete other courses before taking this one.

  • I have your other courses. Will this course contain only new signs I haven't seen before?

    If you have other Sign 'n Grow courses, you may spot a few signs you've seen before that match the theme of this course and other ones. For example, the sign for CAT is in the Baby Signs for Growing Minds Ultimate course and is also in this course because cats fall into the "neighborhood animals" category! But of course, most of the signs in this course are signs that you won't find in other courses, and the songs are all unique to this course.

Hi, I'm Mary! I'm an ASL interpreter with a degree in Deaf Studies. I used signs with my daughter and it was so helpful for the many months before she started talking!
